Association of James Braid Courses
Cathcart Castle is a member of the Association of James Braid Courses.
Formed in 2009, the Association now has over 300 member clubs and the courses are to be found in Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland. Cathcart Castle members and members of all the clubs in the Association can enjoy preferential green fees at these courses, by booking in advance.
The list is updated each year with new member clubs and you can download the 2023 full list of clubs and fees.

1895 Club
As a member of Cathcart Castle, you can play courses in the 1895 club.
Members make their own arrangements in advance with the Secretary of the Club they wish to visit. (Do not turn up unannounced.) You must take a letter of introduction and a handicap certificate. Numbers to be kept to a reasonable level at any one visit as should the number of visits are to the same Club.
There are restrictions at some clubs as to the number of visitors at any one time, and the times of visits e.g. weekends etc. Please check in advance. Download more information here
Additional reciprocal arrangements
Milngavie Golf Club and Bonnyton Golf Club
Members may play at these courses by arrangement. Playing times may be booked by contacting the Managing Secretary. Contact the office for more details.
Mearns Castle Golf Academy
Members are entitled to 25% discount off the price of range balls. This applies to Mon-Fri 9-5pm. There is a 10% discount at any other time.
